BRANDING
The Menopause Network
2 X BRANDING CONCEPTS
The Menopause Network is an initiative designed and facilitated by True Relationships and Reproductive Health and funded by Queensland Health that supports women and gender diverse people across Queensland to be more empowered during their menopause journey.
I presented two unique, purpose-led brand identities to the client. My role was to develop visual branding that felt fresh and engaging, while staying true to the parent brand’s values of inclusivity, accessibility and support. I love the look and feel of both concepts and whilst they are different, they both position The Menopause Network as an empathetic and knowledgable leader in their space – like a comforting shoulder to lean on.
The Fairfield
The Fairfield is a newly refurbished hotel in Townsville with a long history and connection to the local culture of the area.
In creating this brand identity, the challenge was to marry this sense of legacy with the freshness of the beautiful new interiors and thoughtfully designed dining spaces. Stories of the mischievous goats that used to roam the property inspired a vintage-style illustration and the hotel’s iconic proximity to the railway lines is connoted by the use of parallel lines – like train tracks – in the logo.
Manly Marine Services
Manly Marine Services (MMS) is a premium boat repair and servicing company. Their main goal with their branding was to be seen as reliable and highly skilled. They wanted clients to feel like they didn’t have to lift a finger.
The additional challenge for this project was to create a strong visual relationship to Mercury Marine – a leading boat engine manufacturer.
I took inspiration from the radial pattern on propellors and gears, and added a punchy monochrome red colour scheme. The overall feel is reminiscent of performance car logos which gives the brand a exciting edge and elevated look.
The Hot Water Co.
2 X BRANDING CONCEPTS
The Hot Water Co. is a plumbing service based in the Sunshine Coast, specialising in offering fast, affordable and reliable hot water repairs and installations.
Their brand needed to be approachable and “no fuss”. I built a simple colour palette, combined with a bold sans-serif typeface. Two logo concepts were presented, both taking inspiration from elements of heating and using simple geometric shapes to communicate the brand’s principles.
